Two people were today awarded life imprisonment by a local court here in connection with a rape case.
Rakesh and Monu were held guilty of outraging the modesty of a teenage girl while she had gone to collect firewood, assistant district government counsel Kaushal Kishore said.
A case of rape and physical violence was registered on September 5, 2010, with Bhira police station, he said.
Additional district judge Krishna Kumar Shukla found the two guilty of rape and convicted them to life imprisonment.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the two.
