New Delhi, April 18: Two persons, allegedly involved in several thefts from loaded vehicles parked at isolated places, were arrested and goods worth Rs 16 lakh was recovered from them, police said today.
Raju alias Shivna, 30, was arrested from near the Inderlok metro station on Saturday after the police received an information that he was waiting for his gang members to commit another crime, said Surendra Singh Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police (North District).
During interrogation, Shivna said that after cutting the ropes, he had stolen electrical items from a truck in Sonipat.
Police recovered 35 cartons of electrical items from his jhuggi in the area of pool mithai.
On his instance, the police nabbed the receiver Hari Babu alias Dabar and 92 cartons of electrical items were recovered from him.
