Hyderabad, March 14: Two illicit liquor transporters were arrested and large quantity of liquor seized from them by police on Sunday.
On information, Task Force sleuths nabbed the duo and seized 1,200 illicit liquor sachets and two scooters. The arrested are Surender Singh o f Puranapul and Babloo Singh alias Babloo of Lower Dhoolpet.
The duo were transporting the liquor f rom Puranapul, Jummerat Bazar to NTR Nagar in LB Nagar, Kothapet and selling the liquor at a higher price, Task Force additional deputy commissioner of police M Srinivasulu said.
Task Force sleuths intercepted their scooters near Petlaburj and Hussainalam when the duo were on their way to supply the illicit liquor to local sellers. Police handed over the accused to Hussainalam and Charminar police for further action.
