New Delhi, September 24: Two money-lenders were arrested in the national capital for allegedly murdering a youth after an argument over repayment of loan the victim had taken, police said today. Naresh Sharma (33) and Ritesh Verma (28) were caught yesterday for killing Bhupender (25) in Gandhi Nagar last week, Additional Commissioner of Police (East) Anand Mohan said.
On September 17, the duo along with others had attacked Bhupender at his friend Manish Aggarwal”s courier office in Gandhi Nagar. There were gunshot and nine stab wounds on the body of Bhupender.
“The accused are money lenders. Bhupender and Manish have taken loan from Shri Jee Associates owned by the duo.
A fight had taken place between them over re-payment resulting in humiliation and injuries to Kamal Jain, Naresh and damage of the office Shri Jee Associates in August,” Mohan said. In this case, Sachin, Bhupender, Naveen and Manish were arrested.
“Naresh and Jain had a strong feeling of revenge though the locals tried to mediate and reconcile the matter,” he said. However, they allegedly murdered Bhupender.
