Noida: Two persons have been arrested here for allegedly cheating a mobile phone company of Rs 3 crore, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by Ringing Bell company owner, Mohit Goyal, the accused had struck a deal with him for supplying economical mobile phone sets, they said.
“But the company owner sent back the products worth Rs 3 crore to the accused as they were faulty,” Vinay Prakash Singh, incharge, Sector 49 police station said.
The accused –Vikas Sharma and Jeetu– failed to replace the faulty sets, he said.
The police official said Goyal had to face his customers’ ire as he could not provide them with the affordable mobile sets.
A case was filed against Goyal and he was later released on bail, Singh said.
Police said an FIR has been registered against Vikas Sharma and Jeetu, and a hunt is on for their third accomplice.
