Sitapur, July 17: Two alleged firearms smugglers were arrested today following an encounter with the police on the by-pass road here. Police said that 24 countrymade weapons were recovered from their possession.
The two had brought the weapons from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh and were on their way to Nepal, police said adding interrogation was on to elicit more information about their gang.
