LUCKNOW: In a shocking development, the Yogi Adityanath government has omitted popular tourist destination Taj Mahal from official booklet released by state’s tourism ministry.
In a bid to promote famous tourist areas in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has released the booklet that reportedly has Ganga Aarti as its cover image and the name of temples from Mathura, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur were in the list as the popular tourist destinations in the state.
However, one of the seven wonders of the world – Taj Mahal that draws millions of tourists from across the globe has been dropped from the list of tourist destinations.

In the past too, the Uttar Pradesh government led by UP CM Yogi Adityanath had not included Taj Mahal as a part of state’s cultural heritage, Hindustan Times had reported.
