Twin states’ pilgrims begin journey of faith chanting talbiyah

Draped in white ‘ihram’, chanting talbiyah, the pilgrims of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have joined hundreds of thousands of Muslims from around the world as they embark on their journey to the Valley of Mina from Makkah the holiest Islamic place to mark the beginning of Hajj.

It must be noted that on ‘Dhul Hijjah 8′, believers start their journey towards Mina – nearly five kilometres from Makkah – for the world’s largest annual gathering.

Special Officer Telangana State Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor told that all pilgrims of the state are safe and sound and are in high spirit. Prof. told that he is in constant touch with the Khadimul Hujjaj besides Indian Hajj Mission. He has directed all the Hajj volunteers to take good care of the pilgrims especially elderly pilgrims.
