Tweet of Taslima Nasreen “Ahmed is a nice boy, sharp and intelligent, but it is also true that young Muslim boys do plant bombs and thus I would say that the fear is not unfounded” came under fire

Ms. Taslima Nasreen defended the anxiety of US schoolteachers in arresting Schoolboy Ahmed Mohamed’s home-made clock-in-a-box misconstruing as a bomb and said that their apprehension was not unfounded.

It may be noted that a Sudanese 12-year School Student in US was arrested last week after his teacher though that he had a “hoax bomb” to school.

However, he was released later and received massive support from all corners of the world including President Mr. Barak Obama who invited him to White House.

Ms. Tasleem Nasreen twitted that “Ahmed is a nice boy, sharp and intelligent, but it is also true that young Muslim boys do plant bombs and thus I would say that the fear is not unfounded”. She has been living in exile since 1994.

She also twitted “If I could see Ahmed Mohamed’s home-made clock, I would hv mistaken his things for a bomb. Why ppl think Muslims can bring bombs? Cause they do.”

Ms. Nasreen was criticized on the social media following the tweet. Thousands called her a “bigot.” Another blogger commented that Taslima Nasreen is fond of cheap popularity by making such remarks.
However, many others supported her views, calling her a “nationalist Indian” who follows the ideology of Sanatana [Hindu] Dharma.

It may be noted that Ms. Taslima Nasreen calls herself an atheist. She is of the opinion that Muslims children are training to belt a bomb and blowing them. In this context the suspicion of Ahmed’s Schoolteacher was appropriate. She quoted the Marathon bombing at Boston in 2013. She defended white American children carrying fire weapons and involving massacres. She blamed Muslims for brain washing their children in the name of Islam as is practiced by Boko Haram or ISIS.
