In the general body meeting of Telangana Union of Working Journalists, which was presided over by its co-president Dr. Ghulam Abbas Khan, the members expressed concern over the fact that after the bifurcation of the state, the Telangana branch of AP Union of Working Journalist adopted the same name, which is illegal and immoral.
In this connection Dr. Ghulam Abbas Khan and other office bearers made representation with TRS Secretary General Mr. K Keshav Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Mahmood Ali. Co-president said that his union is working for redressal of problems of journalists especially working journalists since 1967. The union was registered under Society Act and Labour Act in 1990. After the demise of Mr. M A Subhan, the union is fully functional headed by Journalist Mr. Husain Ali Khan (Chandrasrivastav). In this situation AP Union of Working Journalist should adopt another name for its Telangana state.
