A private tutor who raped a minor girl student, also a classmate of his elder daughter, was arrested according the police.
Hina Pradhan (38) of Ramchandrapur village under Sheragada police station was caught from Berhampur railway station when he was trying to flee to Surat with the 13-year-old victim, the sources said, Father of two daughters, Hina allegedly kidnapped the girl on Saturday, when she was going to tuition.
As she did not return, her father lodged a complaint before the police. Police registered a missing case and started inquiry.
After the abduction, he kept the class VIII student for two days in a private lodge here and raped her there
before trying to flee, the sources said.
Both the accused teacher and the victim were medically examined at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.
