Mumbai, July 30: Director Rumi Jaffery has written quite a few David Dhawan films in the past. This is why it is being widely speculated that his second directorial venture LIFE PARTNER (he had come up with GOD TUSSI GREAT HO last year) too would be treading the same path that has been laid out by David Dhawan in last couple of decades.
”Not really”, negates Tusshar Kapoor, one of the leading men in LIFE PARTNER, ”The film isn’t the kind that you associate with David Dhawan cinema. He has made out and out comedies in the past whereas Rumi-ji (Jaffery) has made a conscious attempt not to make LIFE PARTNER look like an out and out comedy. Not just is our film entirely different from David-ji’s films, it is also not slapstick at all.”
