Tusshar gets Ekta booked

Mumbai, June 07: Gifts his sister three books on her birthday today

What does one give the czarina of the small screen, Ekta Kapoor for her 35th birthday (today)? When faced with that dilemma, her brother Tusshar decided to go with books.

Says the doting brother about the relatively inexpensive gift, “After coming back from my Goa outdoor for Golmaal 3, I have been shopping for my sister. This year, I wanted to give her something different, since I have been giving her watches, perfumes and other expensive accessories over the last few years. When Ekta was young, she loved reading books but once she became famous she stopped because of lack of time.”

He has picked up three books which he will gift her today. “They are The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Adventures of Sally by PG Wodehouse and Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, which my girl friends recommended I give her. I thought that Ekta might like one of these books so much she might make a serial from it. I thought why not put her on to reading again.”

Tusshar recounts that as a child Ekta loved reading so much she would pretend to study when actually reading fiction. “I thought by giving her books for a change, I could refresh her memories and put her onto the reading habit again. Also, she is going to London tomorrow so she can pick up any material gifts she wants from there.”
