Marmaris: A bus of tourists in Turkey fell from a cliff on Saturday and killed at least 20 people, while eleven were injured.
The mishap took place near the southwestern sea resort holiday town of Marmaris. According to the local media, no foreign passengers were on board. The bus had travelled from Izmir in west Turkey, as per a report by BBC.
The bus tripped from a hilly road and changed its path, smashed through the crash barrier, into the cliff.
“Sadly, we have had 20 fatalities and 11 other seriously injured,” said Amir Cicek, the governor of Mugla province.
Footage from local television showed the yellow bus turned on its side with ambulances around it, and bodies of people lying nearby. Other media reports said the victims were mainly women and children.
