Ankara, July 25: Turkey and Syria have formed a roadmap to boost bilateral relations especially in the economic field Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan says.
Speaking at the third meeting of Turkey-Syria Partnership Council in Turkey’s largest city of Istanbul, Caglayan said the tow countries agreed to forge a permanent cooperation.
“The target is to turn economic relations into a lasting trade and economic partnership. Turkish party will be in an effort to implement the issues included in the memorandum of understanding,” Caglayan added according to the semi-official Anatolia news agency.
He said investments of Turkish businessmen in Syria would be encouraged.
The Turkish state minister said they have decided to organize Turkey-Syria Economic Forum in the first quarter of 2010 and agreed to hold Turkey-Syria Business Council meeting in November 2009.
