Tunis: The Tunisian Presidency late on Wednesday said that the country decided to close the borders with Libya for 15 days.
The national security council decided to close the border from midnight with “reinforced security measures of maritime borders and in airports”, Xinhua news agency quoted an official statement as saying.
The council also decided to block web sites linked to terror groups, the report said.
The new measure came in the light of the terrorist attack on Wednesday which targeted a bus of presidential guards and killed 13 agents and injured 20 others.
According to social media posts, the Islamic State has claimed the attack, explaining that it was done by one of their suicide-bombers.
