Tumne pukara aur… … hum nahin aaye

Sena invites Sainik-turned-NCP boss Chhagan Bhujbal as chief guest for an event; he claims ignorance Politicians make for strange bedfellows. This seems very true, with the Sena and NCP in the current scenario.

Sena, which has often criticised Deputy CM Chhagan Bhujbal recently invited him as the chief guest for an event.

The event, a kabaddi competition at Lower Parel from February 8-11, was organised by Sena MP Anandrao Adsul, and several hoardings and banners were put up across the city, announcing the same.

But sadly, it was not to be. Bhujbal never attended the event.

Confirming the invitation, Adsul said, “Yes, we had invited him for the ceremony as the deputy chief minister.”

When asked whether this can be a way to bring the Sena and NCP together, Adsul said, “I cannot comment on it, but both the parties want to come closer.”

Bhujbal, who started his career as a Shiv Sainik, and much later joined the Nationalist Congress Party with Sharad Pawar, had earned the Sena supremo’s ire for a long time. However, if Adsul is to be believed, both Bhujbal and Sena want to let bygones be bygones.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s meeting with Bal Thackeray at Matoshree on Sunday was seen as a new beginning, since the NCP and the Sena are both having trouble with their alliances.

The Congress is blaming Pawar for the price rise issue, whereas the BJP has distanced itself from the whole Marathi manoos controversy.

Eventually, senior Sena leader Subhash Desai was replaced as the chief guest. But Adsul claims that Bhujbal sent a message to him citing personal problems.
