Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao, who won the Palair bypoll with over 45,000-vote majority, will take oath as legislator on May 26.
According to the information, Rao will take oath at Assembly and Speaker S Madhusudanachary will administer the oath at 1 pm in the presence of inisters and legislators. It may be said that Nageshwar Rao had resigned the MLC post that was accepted by Council Chairman Swamy Goud.
Anganwadis to get 3000 buildings
Nageshwar Rao said the Centre has sanctioned 3,000 buildings for Anganwadi centers and will introduce tracking system for monitoring them. He denied the reports in a section of the media that the government was planning to close down some of the Anganwadi centers. “Instead we will take measures to strengthen them”, he said, adding that they are considering the issue of distributing laptops to the Anganwadi workers for better performance.
