Reiterating that law will take its own course in the “cash for vote” scam case, Industries Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today said AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was talking in a foolish manner and belittled himself at the national level.
Addressing the media at TRS Bhavan here on Thursday, Tummala launched a scathing attack on Naidu for behaving in an unethical manner and failing to give clarity on the episode. “Chandrababu is making politics by citing Section 8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act to enforce Governor powers on law and order in Hyderabad”, he said. He also slammed Chandrababu for his comments that KCR Government would collapse the next day of his arrest. With these comments, it is clear that Naidu is all set to destabilize and topple the TRS Government elected democratically, he said.
“It is not correct to the stature of Naidu, who seems to have lost values and put to shame the Telugu people. Raking up a non-issue of Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act, cunning Naidu was trying to divert the attention of the people from his bribery attempt case and to escape from the case. It is not possible for Naidu to escape”, he said and expressed anguish for adopting double standards on audio tapes and Revanth episode.
A case will be filed against those who commit crime whether it is Chadrababu or any other bigwig, he said. Despite making efforts at Delhi, there was no chance of his going scot-free, he asserted. Naidu, who says audio tape was doctored was still not giving clarity by remaining tightlipped on the voice of audio tapes, he said. The TRS Government has nothing to do with the phone tapping, he said. The ACB is investigating into the Revanth episode and will come out with more details on the involvement of Telugu Desam leaders, he charged. (NSS)
