New Delhi : The right-wing group Hindu Sena on Tuesday celebrated US Republican Party candidate Donald Trump’s birthday in a grand fashion here at the Jantar Mantar.
A colourful open invite sporting the face of Trump surrounded by balloons, said “Join us and let’s celebrate the birthday of the saviour of humanity, the Republican Presidential Nominee of the United States of America.”
The Sena workers a cut seven kilogram cake and also played music on the occasion. The Hindu Sena called Trump the ‘saviour of humanity’ and the ‘messiah against Islamic terror’.
They also observed a minute’s silence for Orlando victims.
Speaking to ANI, Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta yesterday said that a special seven kilo cake and a grand orchestra had been arranged for the event.
“We are celebrating his birthday because he is our hero. We wish that he lives for thousands of years and remove the Islamic terrorism from this entire world,” Gupta said today.
He also said that Trump should fulfil all the promises which he is making and should support India.
“We are 100 percent sure that he will win the presidential elections. I would like to appeal the Indians living in the United States, and vote for him so that he emerges out as victorious,” he added.
Last month, the Hindu Sena held prayers for Trump’s victory in the Presidential race, as a priest chanted hymns and members of the group made offerings to fire, holding posters of the Republican presidential candidate, with “We love Trump” written in bold letters.
Trump has won both supporters and detractors for his blunt talk and hardline proposals, including a proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States.
The billionaire real estate developer has positioned himself as the answer to growing Islamic radicalism across the world. (ANI)
