Tulasi Reddy seeks Naidu’s clarification on promises

Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson and 20-Point Chairman Dr N Tulasi Reddy asked TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to bring more clarity to the promises that he been making with the people.

Talking to reporters at Secretariat’s Media Point, Tulasi Reddy said that while addressing the meetings during “Vastunna Mee Kosam” padayatra, Naidu has promised that he would waive off the farmers’ loans and that would be the first file that he would sign after become Chief Minister. Ridiculing the promise, Tulasi Reddy said that Naidu never clarified as to which loans he would waive, if he returns to power. He said that the Congress Government has already waived off, not only interests, but the farmers loans.
The PCC spokesperson said that as a Chief Minister Naidu completely ignored the welfare of farmers for almost nine years. He did not even react when farmers committed suicide during his regime. However, after losing power, the TDP chief has started speaking on behalf of farmers with an eye on power.

Tulasi Reddy also informed that several schemes were being implemented under the National Rural Development Project to supply drinking water in the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
