TTDP leaders slam KCR for not inducting women in State cabinet

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP leaders today came down heavily on the ruling TRS party and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for not ensuring social balance in his expanded cabinet. They alleged that the women leaders of the ruling party were once again ignored by the CM in the State cabinet.

Addressing media persons, State official spokesperson of the party Uppalapati Anusha Ram asked CM KCR whether he considered Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Malla Reddy and Errabelli Dayakar Rao as separate Telangana activists, who fought relentlessly for the formation of the separate State. She also mocked that all the three cabinet ministers had come from the TDP only.

Commenting on the absence of a woman minister in the cabinet, Anusha Ram hoped that the CM KCR might be planning to induct a woman leader into cabinet in the next cabinet expansion. Another official spokesperson of the TDP Pullaiah Yadav expressed his happiness over the expansion of the State cabinet after a gap of 66 days. He, however alleged that there was no social balance in the cabinet. He alleged that Madigas and ST community leaders were ignored in the State cabinet expansion.
