Hyderabad: Telangana TDP leaders today paid rich tributes to Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram by garlanding his portrait at NTR trust bhavan on the occasion of his 109th jayanthi.
Motkupally Narsimhulu cut a cake on the occasion. He said Jagjivan Ram always worked for the uplift of Dalits. He pointed out that late NTR had installed a statue of Jagjivam Ram near L B stadium and used to think about the welfare of poor and Dalits. But today the Telangana Chief Minister has no time even to pay tribute to jagjivan Ram, he lamented.
Motkupally charged KCR with cheating the Dalits who had promised to give three acre land to each. KCR had also promised to make a Dalit as CM of Telangana, he reminded. Another TDP leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said everybody should take life of Jagjivanram as their model.
TDP leaders A Revanth Reddy, TDP SC cell State president Botla Srinivas, Arvind Kumar Goud, and Bondru Shobharani also paid tributes. (NSS)
