TTD Trust Board to improve amenities for devotees

Tirupati, September 04: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board has decided to improve the amenities for devotees visiting the famous Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

After assuming charge as the 44th chairman of the TTD Trust Board, veteran Congressman Kanumuri Bapiraju on Saturday convened a review meeting with TTD officials over providing better amenities to devotees. Talking to media persons after the meeting, Bapiraju said the board has decided to release calendars and dairies of TTD-2012 before the Brahmotsavams. The Board also passed a unanimous resolution to appoint 210 security guards from Chittoor district on Tirumala hills.

Bapiraju said that the Board also decided to review the performance of educational and health institutions working under the TTD Board. It has also been decided to revive the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) in the state capital.

Earlier, Endowment department chief secretary Ramanachary and Commissioner Bala Ramaiah took the oath and pledge amidst chanting of Vedic hymns as members of TTD Administrative Board.
