Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has made all arrangements in all the depots to conduct 30th Road Safety Week celebrations from February 4 to 10.
In this connection, as part of awareness program among the commuters and the crew, the Corporation has printed banners, posters and stickers to display them at road junctions, bus stations, busy places. The Corporation also will organize special medical camps and training classes for the benefit of the crew in every zonal training college.
To encourage the staff for safety driving, the Corporation would award cash prizes to accident-free drivers in every depot, region and zone. Three successful drivers will be picked at State level, Zone level, region level and depot. At State level, first prize carries Rs 12,000, second prize Rs 10,000 and third prize Rs 8,000. Similarly, at Zonal level, first prize carries Rs 4,500, second prize Rs 4,250 and third prize Rs 4,000. At regional level, first prize carries Rs 3,250, second prize Rs 3,000 and third prize Rs 2,750. At Depot level, first prize carries Rs 2,000, second prize Rs 17,200 and third prize Rs 1,500. Apart from cash prizes, the outstanding drivers would be presented certificates and mementoes, according to senior Public Relations Manager of the Corporation.
