IT & Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today said the Telangana State was in the forefront to launch modern AC bus shelters to the people in Hyderabad besides modernizing a fleet of 3,800 RTC buses, including 500 Electronic Buses. Modern Bus Shelters with AC facility were inaugurated at Khairatabad RTA and KPHB areas.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said the State government and the GHMC are jointly constructing the world class AC bus shelters for commuters in the city. KTR further said as per plan, similar bus shelters will be constructed in six months in the city. To make Hyderabad city free from pollution, it was being planned to shift the old vehicles of fuel to electric ones, he said.
Stating that the issues pertaining to Metro Rail will be resolved soon, KTR said the AC Bus Shelters will provide ample scope of modern facilities to the commuters. They include WiFi, ATM, CCTV, Emergency Horn, mobile charging, dust bins, ticket counters, feeding room and drinking water.
