TSPSC will be formed soon, Governor to T-Cong leaders

Governor ESL Narasimhan on Tuesday assured the delegation of Telangana Congress leaders that the Telangana State Public Service Commission would be constituted soon.

Speaking to media persons after submitting a memorandum to the Governor at Raj Bhavan here, TPCC Vice-President Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that the Telangana Congress leaders, on behalf of Telangana’s jobless students, had sought Governor’s intervention for constitution of TSPSC on immediate basis. Responding to the request, the Governor informed the delegation that the constitution of Public Service Commission was underway.

Further, the Telangana Congress leaders have briefed the Governor about the ongoing agitation by Telangana Unemployed Students JAC demanding issuing of job notifications and scrapping off of contract jobs. Shabbir Ali said that he students of Telangana have made lot of sacrifices for the cause of statehood hoping for justice, end of discrimination and more job opportunities. However, after the realisation of dream of Telangana, the TRS Government completely ignored their welfare. He said Governor’s intervention has been sought to ensure that all educated unemployed youth get regular jobs.

Shabbir Ali said that the Governor has been requested to direct the State Government to re-inspect 174 out of 315 private engineering colleges, who affiliation has been cancelled. Stating that de-affiliation of those colleges have led to the loss of nearly one lakh seats and related jobs, he said the affiliations of institutions which are following the AICTE norms should be restored.

The Congress delegation comprised of Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other leaders.
