Hyderabad: The Hyderabad centre has topped the Group-II services with the highest number of 1,558 candidates against the total number of 3,147 candidates selected across Telangana State, 4.97 lakh candidates had appeared for the Group-II exam.
According to an analysis of the exam centre-wise results by the Telangana State Publication Service Commission (TSPSC), 1,558 candidates were selected out of 1,73,439 candidates who appeared for the Group-II exam.
Additionally, 417 candidates of 40,387 candidates were picked in Nalgonda, 276 of 64,940 candidates in Karimnagar, 264 of 69,348 candidates in Warangal and 226 of 41,642 candidates in Mahabubnagar, as per a report by Telangana Today.
In all, 145 out of 42,085 candidates were selected in Khammam district, while 113 of 30,477 candidates in Nizamabad, 76 of 19,816 candidates in Medak and 72 of 15,830 candidates in Adilabad, were picked from the respective centres.
The candidates were selected based on merit and in proportion to the available posts in exam centre-wise, as per the sources.
The latest analysis of TSPSC selections confirms that the allegations of favouring certain districts were not true.
