Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that the promise made by TRS for providing 12% reservation for Muslims in employment and education would be fulfilled. This would be done on the lines of the reservations provided by Tamil Nadu Govt.
Mr. Mahmood Ali was addressing a public meeting at Abdullah Chowk, Khanapur in Adilabad District on Sunday. He further told that Mr. KCR has completed all the legal formalities to fulfill his election promise. A bill has been passed in TS Assembly and Council which has been sent to the Center for its approval.
If Central Govt. rejects this bill, State Govt. would approach Supreme Court.
On this occasion, Mr. Mahmood Ali also mentioned about various welfare schemes for the Muslims.  He told that Urdu has been declared as second official language in the entire State. Recently, 66 vacancies of Urdu translators have been sanctioned. In addition to it, more than 200 Minorities’ Residential Schools have been started in which more than 5 lakh poor students are getting free education.
Mr. Jogu Ramanna, Minister for Forests also addressed the gathering. He requested the Dy. CM to sanction Rs. 4.6 crore for Masajid in Adilabad constituency.
