Telangana Secretariat officials and employees after celebrating Bonalu festivities today bid an affectionate and emotional adieu to their Andhra Pradesh counterparts here on Friday.
At a special meeting arranged at C Block of Telangana Secretariat together they vowed to work for the development of two Telugu States. Telangana Secretariat Employees’ Association president Narender Rao and his AP counterpart Muralikrishna and others exhorted the staff to work for the development of both the States. “Unmindful of bifurcation blues and issues cropped up, we must work for the cause of the two States”, they said. A large number of officials, staff, including women turned up to the mega event even as several departments of Andhra Pradesh have been making it to Amaravathi, the new capital.
CS offers Puja to mark Bonalu
Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma today visited Nalla Pochamma Temple near C Block and offered special puja as part of Bonalu festival here. Entire premises of the Secretariat wore a festive look reflecting its age-old tradition and culture of Bonalu that went on for a few hours amid much fanfare and gusto. The women employees of both the Telangana and AP Secretariats celebrated Bonalu festival at the Pochamma Temple in a grand manner. Later they joined a sumptuous lunch on the occasion. (NSS)
