TS second anniversary celebrated in Delhi

The second anniversary of Telangana State Formation was celebrated at Telangana Bhavan here on Thursday on a grand scale. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali unfurled national flag and paid tributes to the martyrs at the memorial.

           

Later, Mahmood Ali paid floral tributes to the statue of Telangana Thalli and country’s Constitution architect Dr B R Ambedkar. He also inaugurated a photo exhibition on the achievements – development and welfare programs – launched by the TRS government in the last two years.

           

Telangana Government Special Representative Dr Venugopala Chary inaugurated a medical camp at Telangana Bhavan and conducted medical tests on the Deputy Chief Minister. Later, Venugopala Chary personally distributed fruits and sweets to patients in Ram Manohar Lohia, Safdarjung and All India Institute of Medical Sciences hospitals on the occasion of the Telangana State Formation second anniversary. He also conducted special prayers in Gurudwaras in Delhi for achievement of “Bangaru Telangana” under the stewardship of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He also distributed fruits and sweets to devotees.

           

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister said the people of Telangana achieved separate State after 57-year prolonged struggle and supreme sacrifices. Despite chief ministers of undivided Andhra Pradesh created fears among the people that disputes over water sharing, power and law and order situation would arise in the event of bifurcation of the State, the infant Telangana State was racing towards monumental development under the able leadership of K Chandrasekhar Rao and the people of the State were living happily with a series of welfare programs. He also pointed out that Telangana stood at top when compared to three new States were carved out during the previous NDA government. Mahmood Ali also pointed out that Chief Minister KCR was sincerely and tirelessly striving for development of the State and welfare of the people by implementing novel schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak which were not mentioned in the party manifesto.

           

TRS MP Jithendar Reddy said suicides by farmers were reduced greatly with the birth of Telangana State and formation of TRS government headed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Stating that the CM was sparing no efforts for people’s welfare, Jithendar Reddy said KCR took several historic measures for the welfare of the people in just two years and no other CM in the past 57 years could do things for the poor and downtrodden.

           

Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar said Chief Minister KCR has been relentlessly working for making Telangana State as No. 1 in the country and party leaders were assisting him to make the State as Bangaru Telangana.

           

Ramachandrudu Tejawat, K M Sahani, Congress Rajya Sabha member Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, Union Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar, Telangana Bhavan officials and Telugu people in Delhi were present in large numbers. (NSS)
