Telangana State will become power surplus in three years, according to Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy. Introducing a resolution on power sector at TRS Plenary at LB Stadium here, the minister said that KCR proved it that statehood will help overcome the power problem. He also stated that KCR kept the promise of tiding over power crisis in six months. Telangana movement began for power issue and we are committed towards making it surplus in three years. He alleged that the previous governments deliberately ignored the region. The Centre is delaying to release allocated gas to Telangana state, he said.
Jupally slams Cong
Another Minister Jupally Krishna Rao introducing resolution on Industries said that there is no need of making frequent visits to the offices for permissions now. He alleged that the previous governments misused Dalits and Tribals as vote bank and ignored their welfare. The TRS Government is coming up with a new industrial policy to give all permissions in 15 days, he said adding that many businessmen are lining up to invest in the state. He attributed the 24 hour power supply to the efforts of the chief minister giving priority for the welfare of the Dalits and Tribals.
IT Minister K T Rama Rao introduced a resolution related to water grid and industries. He said that the TRS will not ask votes if it failed to give safe waters to people. He accused the previous governments of suppressing the interests Telanganites. (NSS)
