The first phase of counselling for the MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical colleges in Telanganamedical admissions will begin from July 29 and end on August 3, the NTR University of Health Sciences announced on Tuesday.
Counselling will be held at JNTUH Counselling Centre, Kukatpally; PGRR Distance Education Counselling Centre, OU Campus; Kakatiya University Counselling Centre, Warangal and Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Candidates can attend at any of these centres.
The JNTU-Hyderabad will provide the technical support for the counselling. A total 2,550 MBBS seats and nearly 1,000 BDS seats will be available in the state. Of these only 1,575 seats will be available in the Convenor quota for counselling.
About 850 of these are in government medical colleges and 725 in private medical colleges. About 140 BDS seats are available in government colleges and another 400 in private dental colleges.
Candidates who have appeared and secured ranks in Telangana EAMCET-2015 are eligible and they need not submit any application form for admission into MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates born on or after January 2, 1999 are not eligible for admission.
