Former Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy described the agreement between the Telangana and Maharashtra states as a ‘Black one’.
Participating in a protest program at Ragnareddy collectorate office here on Tuesday as part of state wide protest opposing the agreement between the Telangana and Maharashtra states on irrigation projects, Sabitha alleged that the agreement was a ‘Maha Betrayal’ of the Telangana people. She said that the Congress party has taken up these protest programs only to explain the deceiving nature of the TRS government. Stating that 32 lakh acre would be irrigated if the TRS government completes the pending projects, Sabitha alleged that the TRS government was deceiving the people by not keeping the interests of the state.
Later, the police arrested the Congress leaders and shifted them to nearby police station and released them after some time. (NSS)
