Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday informed that industrial units would be set up in all districts to provide jobs to unemployed youth.
Addressing a review meeting at Ranga Reddy District Collectorate here, Jupally said that massive targets have been set for establishment of industries in all districts as per the new industrial policy. He said all applications received under TS-iPass to set up industries were being cleared within one month. He said that the applications were being cleared in a transparent manner without any irregularities.
Jupally said that of 176 applications received in Ranga Reddy district, 174 have been approved. These investors would be investing Rs. 222 crore and generate 2,970 new jobs. Further, 4,152 small units, with an investment of Rs. 1,920 crore, were given approval and 49,535 youth were provided employment.
The minister said presently 3,600 acres of land was available at 11 different places for industrial purposes. He said efforts were also being made to revive the closed and sick industries. He said special training centres would be set up to train youth in different industrial skills. These centers would be set up in Ranga Reddy, Mahabub Nagar and Hyderabad districts.
Industries Commissioner Manik Raj, TSIIC Managing Director Narasimha Reddy and other officials attended the review meeting. (INN)
