Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has claimed that the Telangana Government was taking several steps to strengthen the education sector.
Speaking to media persons after paying floral tributes to former President Sarvepalle Radhakrishna’s statue at Tank Bund on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Monday, the Deputy CM informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao desires to open 250 Gurukul schools across the State. He said these schools would have an intake of 160,000 students and they would become operational from current academic year.
Kadiyam said that the government was also taking measures to improve the standard of teaching in government schools. He said that the official celebration of Teachers Day would be held on September 8 at Ravindra Bharathi. (INN)
