Stating that the separate Telangana movement had gained momentum due to the TRS Chief and present Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s language and accent, Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy has opined that several artists were evolved as a result of the separate Telangana movement.
After releasing the CD ‘KCR Telangana Udyama Charithra’ (History of KCR’s Telangana Movement) prepared by the Radio Ellaiah Mama Folk Academy, here on Sunday at Ravindra Bharathi, the Home Minister said that folk lore was born and developed in Telangana. He assured that the TRS government will strive for the development of Telangana language and accent.
Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud has said that the roots of folk lore were in Telangana, and lamented that the evolution of TV and Cell Phones was destroying the folk arts. He praised the Radio Ellaiah Mama Folk Academy’s services for the development of the folk arts and stated that the Telangana government would strive to give life for the folk academies. (NSS)
