Telangana State Advocates Welfare Trust has decided to launch various schemes for the welfare advocates on June 2.
The meeting was held at the chamber of Housing, Law and Endowments Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy took this decision today.Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar, Law Secretary Niaranjan Rao, Finance Principal Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Trust Secretary and Law Department additional secretary Bachina Ramanjaneyulu, High Court senior advocates Gandra Mohan Rao, Rajender Reddy, Sahodhar Reddy, Manik Prabhu Goud, Venkat Yadav, Vidyasagar Rao, Mahmood Ali, Trust Advisory Council members and other advocates participated in the meeting held on Saturday.
Later, Speaking to the media, the Minister Indrakaran Reddy said that they discussed on providing facilities like Health and Accident insurance besides providing infrastructure to Bar Association. He said that the government will launch three schemes including the scheme which would be launched on June 2 for advocates. He said that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has allotted Rs.100 crore for the welfare of advocates, who played a pivotal role in separate Telangana movement.
The meeting took several decisions and they were: Rs.2 lakh health insurance to the advocate and his wife; Rs.10 lakh accident insurance to the families of advocates died in accidents; the government will extend from Rs. 50,000 to Rs.5lakh for the maintenance, creation of infrastructure and setting up of libraries in district bar associations; conducting training camps to the junior lawyers with the cooperation of NALSAR university on criminal, civil procedure core and drafting, the trust took a decision to spend Rs.23 crore interest occurred from the government allotted Rs.100 crore fund to advocates to the welfare of advocates.
