TS Govt to Unveil IT Policy today

To give boost to IT Sector and encourage its exports in a big way,  the Telangana Government is coming up with a new IT policy in Hyderabad on April 4. Noted IT giant Infosys founder Narayanamurthy will be attending the grand program of launching new IT policy in the state.

 

Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will formally launch the IT Policy at HICC here in the presence of IT Minister KT Rama Rao and officials. The new IT policy will sure  be first of its kind to attract more IT companies of national and international importance to the state. With a land bank of about 1.5 lakh acres in twin cities and adjoining areas, the government plans to allot land to the companies which  plan to invest. According to information the IT wing is ready to provide facilities with some incentives and subsidies of power and others. Having attracted many such companies with its hassle free industrial policy that got accolades from across the world,  the jubilant Telangana Government in general and IT department in particular is focusing on giving a fillip to the IT sector. It may be noted that plans are on cards to encourage IT companies to rope in with huge investments at second category cities like Warangal and others. The policy will fetch industries and companies with investments that will provide jobs to local talent and help exports increase.(NSS)
