Telangana Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the State Government’s new Textile Policy would benefit all sections of the society.
Addressing a review meeting at MRCHRD Institute at Jubilee Hills on Friday, the minister said that the Textile policy would be on the lines of IT and Industrial policy announced by the government in the recent past. He said suggestions from experts and various sections were being incorporated while drafting the new Textile policy. He said textile industry was the major employer after agriculture. Therefore, the State Government was paying special focus to draft the best Textile policy.
KTR said that the government would also take measures to promote Khadi industries. He said a separate review meeting would be convened to discuss those measures. He said Khadi Day would be observed on August 7 and on the same day, foundation stone would be laid for construction of Textile Park. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the event. (INN)
