TS Govt sets up committee for solar pumpsets

The Telangana Government on Thursday constituted a four-member committee on ‘Solar Pumpsets for Agriculture’.

A review meeting was held on November 21 by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in connection with installation of solar pumpsets for agriculture in Telangana State. After detailed deliberations, it was decided to constitute a committee for the same. As a follow-up measure, the government on Thursday issued orders for the constitution of the committee.

The committee would be headed by Special Chief Secretary (Industries) K Pradeep Chandra as Chairman. Principal Secretaries V Nagi Reddy (Finance), Dr SK Joshi (Energy) and Poonam Malakondaiai (Agriculture) would be the members of the committee.

The Committee will interact with the representatives of various agencies for finalization of technical, operational and financial model. (INN)
