The Telangana Government on Tuesday issued orders releasing Rs 20 crore towards Shaadi Mubarak scheme.
The State Government has earmarked Rs 2 crore for each of the 10 districts for the implementation of the scheme which provides one-time financial assistance of Rs 51,000 for all unmarried girls belonging to the minority community at the time of marriage.
It may be mentioned that the State Government had allocated Rs 100 crore in the budget for financial year 2014-15. Of this, Rs 20 crore has been released on Tuesday. (INN)
