The Telangana Government on Thursday issued orders releasing Rs 1.76 crore for implementing the Apathbandhu scheme for payment of Rs 50,000 for each death as ex-gratia to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in case of accidental death.
These funds are meant for nine districts, except Adilabad, for payment of ex-gratia in cases of death reported after November 2, 2013. The government has released Rs 34 lakh each for Nalgonda and Karimnagar; Rs 29.50 lakh for Medak; Rs 24 lakh for Mahabubnagar; Rs 20.50 lakh for Ranga Reddy; Rs 14.50 lakh for Nizamabad; Rs 12.50 lakh for Khammam; Rs 6 lakh for Hyderabad and Rs 1.50 lakh for Warangal district.
