In order to ensure 100 per cent collection of taxes from the Gram Panchayats, the Telangana Government has decided to computerise all Gram Panchayats in the State in different phases.
In the first phase, according to sources, as many 2,400 gram panchayats will be computerised. Another 2,900 panchayats will be covered in the second phase. The computerised panchayats will be linked to Central Village Level Enterprises (VLE). The process of computerisation is likely to begin early next month, sources said. (INN)
