The Telangana Government on Wednesday amended its earlier order changing the periodicity of Medium Term from five to seven years to procure 2000 MW from generators in Southern region.
According to amended GO, the TSSPDCL would act a lead procurer and call for bids for procuring 2000 MW of power on Medium Term basis (7 Years) immediately from generators in Southern region. The Medium Term period was five years in the original GO Rt No 22 dated August 6, 2014.
The TSSPDCL CMD was instructed to initiate proceedings for procurement of power in accordance with GOI guidelines on procurement of power through Case-I bidding route. The TSSPDCL was also asked to engage services of a reputed consultancy provider in the Power Sector for bid process management. (INN)
