Telangana CPI Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy accused the State Government of forcibly acquiring land from farmers on the pretext of new industrial policy.
Participating in a round table discussion here on Monday, the CPI leader said that the State’s new industrial policy was being used against the farmers to benefit the rich businessmen. He said if farm lands are to be converted into industrial plots then why the State Government was wasting money on irrigation projects. He said that the formation of Telangana State did not benefit the farmers and poor. (INN)
