TS Govt constitutes committee for conservation of national parks

The Telangana Government on Monday constituted a committee for conservation and Protection works in National Park / Wild Life Sanctuaries in the State.

Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma will be the chairman of seven-member “The Biodiversity Conservation Society of Telangana (BIOSOT)”. The other members include Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary (Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Dept), Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Representative of Director General of Forests & Spl. Secretary, Union Ministry of Environment & Forests, Chairman of World Wide Fund, Hyderabad and Chairman of State Bio-Diversity Board. The Chief Wild Life Warden will be the Member Secretary.

The Committee would be registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, to facilitate effective utilization of the funds collected and deposited for the development of the National Parks / Sanctuaries in the State of Telangana. (INN)
