Urdu is not the language of any particular religion or community but Urdu is a national language and state government is committed to its promise of providing Urdu its due place in Telangana. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Mahmood Ali told this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Jashn-e-Telangana Award function and All India Mushaira here at Lalithakala Thoranam, Nampally on Friday.
Jashn-e-Telangana Award function and All India Mushaira are being held by Siasat Daily and Urdu Writers’ Forum. Continuing his speech Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali revealed that Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao is counted among Urdu lovers. Mr. Mahmood Ali further said no doubt injustice was done to Urdu during past 60 years but in Telangana state Urdu would be given its due place.
