The Telangana Government has approved about 25.68 lakh applications that it received for Old Age, Physically Handicapped and other pensions.
The applications were given nod during a review meeting held by Finance Minister Etala Rajender and Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao at the State Secretariat here on Monday. The officials have been directed to release the pension for the months of October and November among 25,68,392 beneficiaries between December 10 and 15th. The District Collectors have also been asked to release the list of pensioners at the Panchayat Level.
The ministers said that the process of verification of other applications would be completed within two months. They also reviewed the status of Food Security Cards in all 10 districts of Telangana State.
KTR made it clear that the State Government would not deny pension or Food Security Card to any deserving beneficiary. (INN)
