Five days after the killing of five under trials in an alleged encounter at Alair, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy on Sunday announced that the State Government would order a probe into it following allegations of encounter being fake.
Speaking to media persons at TRS Bhavan here, Nayani claimed that the TRS Government was not averse to conduct inquiry into the encounter. However, he said that the nature of probe would be decided by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself. He also assured that action would be taken based on the findings of enquiry report.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister had earlier sought a few days time from the delegation of Muslim United Forum leaders to take a decision on ordering a probe into the encounter.
Nayini’s assurance is the first reaction that came from the TRS Government on the Alair encounter which generated lot of criticism from different political parties and human rights groups. (INN)
